AC Milan remain very strong admirers of Giovanni Leoni, but they are not alone and Parma continue to hike the price up.
La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanPress) had someone present to watch Leoni in action yesterday during an intra-squad friendly between the Parma first team and their Primavera. The teenage centre-back seemed absolutely calm and played 45 minutes at a high level.

Destined for the top
Leoni is one of the most sought-after young Italians, but he’s not afraid of making the big jump. Milan, Inter and Liverpool are all interested in the teenage and while he doesn’t seem to be fazed by the interest from the big clubs, Parma have set their stall out.
Knowing they have a top talent on their hands, the Ducali have fixed an asking price of €40m in order to sell Leoni. Despite the growing hype, the calmness of the defender is also evident among those who follow him every day.

“Nothing bothers this guy. He catches, runs, and marks,” the paper claims to have heard. The other concept that best describes the former Sampdoria player is maturity, reiterated by his teammate Marco Pellegrino in a press conference: “This is precisely what struck me. Just look at how he trains and how old he is.”
It was recently reported that Parma believe Leoni could even be worth €70m in a year so they are in no rush to sell, while Milan would surely have to sell someone to fund a move.

And we sold tijji for how much again? Our clubs run by losers guys, it’s completely up to Allegri coaching, better hope Liverpool don’t offer 50mill for pulisic next season, we might throw in ricci as a bonus for them for an extra 10mill to balance the books
And we sold Simic for 3m.
18yo cb, scores on debut. Makes several senior team appearances and looks comfortable. Was captain of primavera who got to youth league final.
Doing well now playing senior football for Anderlecht in league a europa league.
He left because we wanted him to play in the disaster futuro in serie C.
Simic sell was ridicules .
Not as ridiculous as Kerkez sale.
Kerkez was never going to start over Theo. They should have loaned him out and brought him back. Or at least gotten a buy back on him. But can’t blame the kid for leaving.
@ACM1899
Who said anything about starting? He wasn’t even getting called for the 1st team. Left Milan and went from strength to strength where now he is playing for Liverpool.
Acm, he wasn’t even on the bench to get some minutes. Pioli 0 of a coach to develop young players. He played Florenzi on LB and
didn’t give the kid a single minute. That is why he left.
Thiao and Pavlovic is better x2. So we have deffenders only need sell Gabia and Tomori and buy some younger. Gabbia if i couch never will play,only good thing is he is Italian. I hope Allegri not put him at game same like Pioli do. Sell Tomori and Gabbia and buy this guy from Parma and we have good 3 deffenders. We sell Kalulu and keep Gabbia 😂😂😂😂😂
Leoni is almost 9 years younger than Reijnders and the Reijnders fee has been explained before – there’s little resale value due to his age, no other big club was interested.
Kyle to remind you Tijji was sold for the same price as the top goal scorer in the league. It’s perplexing how all you drama queens don’t seem to grasp this fact….
Napoli were dumb for that too they aren’t exempt from that tag either. I don’t think im being dramatic after what Frankfurt demand for their players and actually get even after only 1 good season
Atalanta I meant.
If Leoni was a Milan youth product, he would be sold for 2 million to a seria B club.
We just sold Carmada for 3 million. If he was a Atalanta player, they would have asked for atleast 20 million.
If there is a buyback clause the fees are different. You can’t compare those 2.
False equivalence. On what basis would you pay 40M for Camarda? Or even 20M? Media hype? Leoni was starting in Serie A last season. Camarda made a handful of cameo appearances and scored zero goals. Camarda hasn’t even played a minute of Serie B football. Straight from Serie C to Serie A, and no success yet. That’s why I think his loan to Lecce is wrong. He should be going on loan to a Serie B team.
Shut up nerd. The top scorer in the league was sold for the same price as Tijji. This rhetoric about Tijji is a joke
You guys are funny, u show lack of understanding about ” the real football world”🙃
I can guarantee Milan isn’t circling around a 40mil Italian.
Leoni is gone folks. 40M is already too much for Serie A clubs for an 18 year old defender. If he continues to develop according to the hype, next stop is the PL.
Liverpool will strike a deal with a loan back. No Italian team can afford a 40m roll of the dice
Inter and Ac no difference….they just sell their products for peanuts tsw
Parma are waiting for EPL or saudi club. There is no way italian club will pay 40m euro for 18 years defender. To be honest ACM cannot afford leoni anymore, the good side ? Liberali can have chance to renew due to not including in leoni deal anymore
Hãy hành động thật nhanh.
@Reccaman
Speaking of Liberali, I hope he brings it in the preseason games. Remind everyone once more how good he is, and hopefully gets rewarded with the chance to play consistently.
full of redSh!t buzzer w/ ludicrous reason to defense their sh!ty transfer strategy, sell better players asap to buy junk
