AC Milan and Fondazione Milan took centre stage in New York, at a United Nations event that took place in New York.
As the official website reports, over 4,000 students from over 140 countries gathered for the annual ‘Change the World – Model United Nations’ event, organised by Associazione Diplomatici and Change the World Academy at the United Nations Headquarters.
Former forward Alexandre Pato was chosen as the ambassador for this overseas visit for Milan at an event that club President Paolo Scaroni attended three years ago. On stage, he gave a powerful message about what the Rossoneri gave him, and his own personal journey.
“Representing AC Milan and Fondazione Milan in such a prestigious setting is a great honour,” the Brazilian began by saying.
“Throughout my career I have achieved important milestones, but I have also experienced difficult moments, during which the support of a Club and a dressing room that felt like a second family was essential.
“This is why I strongly believe in Fondazione Milan’s commitment to creating safe and positive environments where young people, even those from challenging backgrounds, can pursue their passions.”
The Milan delegation also went to visit the young beneficiaries of the Soccer Program at Success Academy Charter School in Harlem, New York, which has been upported by Fondazione Milan since 2021.

Pato representing Milan after his career ended is beautiful. Hopefully we can lock him down and have him be part of rebranding Milan internationally.
