Strahinja Pavlovic joined AC Milan in the summer, but there are suggestions that the defender could already be heading towards an exit.

In the early stages of the season, Pavlovic established himself as one of Milan’s only decent centre-backs. As the season progressed though, his performances dropped, and he now finds himself in a difficult spot.

It has often been said that the Serbian does not look ready just yet, and perhaps a loan move could be a way to help him refind his feet. However, a more extreme option could be on the table. According to reports yesterday, the defender has interest from Turkey, and the club began talks about a sale after only six months.

This is not the plan for Pavlovic. Instead, he would prefer to stay at the club, and when asked, he stated that he was ‘here to stay’, and the video can be seen below.

  1. Pavlovic was too hyped in the summer , he lacks poise, calm and his passing needs improvement, however selling him now is foolish . He is a young player and hasn’t really been given a run of games ,with This ,Gabbia and Tomori ahead of him.
Give him time to improve ,it’s way too early to sell him.

  2. Poor Pavlovic. He was only used under Fonseca when we had no stable midfield at all. In fact he saved us so many goals in many matches I still believe he’s at least as good as tomori. He should be given more chances

  3. The guy isn’t bad,its just he’s to sluggish, too agressive. He makes childish mistakes and doesn’t analyse football situation in a down to earth manner. i think he needs to stay and learn e few more months ans then competing for a starting place. Pavlovic was hyped to death in the summer, unfortunately he isnt what we expected.

  4. In all fairness we signed a raw player with great potential from austria and we expect him to slot in after 6 months? Our board is delusional. Even more absurd is giving up on him after 6 months. What would that say about our scouting, transfer policy and player development. Haven’t we learnt from CDK. Dry loan maybe for regular playing time but not selling him so quickly.

  5. No one is mentioning that Thiaw is injured and we’ll miss a few games. Getting rid of Tomori and/or Pavlovic without getting a replacement would be naive, to say the least. That being said, Pavlovic IS our worst performing CB this season, but there are a few objective factors that shouldn’t be ignored.
