AC Milan should be able to call on the services of Rafael Leao when they take on Premier League side Newcastle in the Champions League this week, a report claims.
As has been reported by Gianluca Di Marzio on his site Pazza Di Fanta, the Portuguese winger is expected to be fit enough to play a role in the final Champions League group stage game of the season for the Rossoneri.
Milan have to win the game if they are to stand any chance of progressing, whilst they also need Borussia Dortmund to beat Paris Saint-Germain in the other game that night.
Milan have been without Leao for a handful of recent fixtures due to an injury but he trained with the group on Monday and it all points towards a potential start against Newcastle at St. James’ Park.
Milan are also waiting to see if Simon Kjaer can return against Newcastle, but that looks less likely than Leao at this stage.
