Pedulla: Donnarumma has not accepted Milan’s offer of a pay rise; he asks for time to reflect

By Oliver Fisher -

Gianluigi Donnarumma is reflecting on his AC Milan future having already not responded favourably to a renewal offer, a report claims.

According to Alfredo Pedulla, it is not a peaceful moment for Donnarumma at Milan, with the young goalkeeper having been seen leaving the field in tears following the 5-0 defeat to Atalanta on Sunday.

The report claims that the 20-year-old will reflect on his future with his contract expiring in 2021, adding that he did not accept Milan’s offer of a renewal at €7m-a-year, a pay rise from his current €6m salary.

However, Pedulla adds that the offer was not rejected but rather he asked for time to consider his future. Gigio is thinking seriously: he’s tied to Milan sentimentally but he wants to think about his own career objectives.

The club for their part will insist on reaching an agreement by the end of February, with PSG and Juve’s interested to be taken into consideration.
