Pedulla: Milan continue to monitor Sassuolo striker as Rangnick green lights his purchase

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are continuing to monitor young Italian striker Gianluca Scamacca with concrete interest, according to one journalist.

Milan are seemingly in the market for two strikers this summer given the doubts over the future of Zlatan Ibrahimovic plus the general lack of depth in that position due to Rafael Leao’s inconsistencies.

According to what reported by the journalist Alfredo Pedullà on his website, the Rossoneri are continuing to watch the Sassuolo-owned centre-forward Scamacca with a view to a summer move.

The 21-year-old is on loan at Serie B side Ascoli from Sassuolo and was formerly in the youth sectors of Rome and PSV Eindhoven. He had already been sought by Milan in January, but without success.

Pedullà writes that the club considers him a real goal in the rejuvenation of the club. Ralf Rangnick also likes Scamacca , ready to make targeted investments on U23 talents, both Italian and foreign.

Milan’s observers will keep an eye on him in the Serie B season finale after a season in which he has netted 11 goals in 26 appearances across all competitions (as per Transfermarkt).
