Arsenal’s Lucas Torreira has told his representatives he wants to leave England and move to AC Milan, one journalist claims.
Reports over the weekend suggested that the Rossoneri have made their first bid for the midfielder in the form of a two-year loan with option to buy.
Uruguay star Torreira is reportedly new Milan boss Marco Giampaolo’s top target having managed the combative midfielder while the pair were together at Sampdoria.
The Italian coach was announced as Gennaro Gattuso’s successor earlier in the week after leaving Samp at the end of the season.
Now, respected journalist Alfredo Pedulla is reporting that Torreira has made it clear that he wishes to return to Serie A and reunite with Giampaolo.
However, Arsenal will understandably make negotiations very tough due to his stellar 2018-19 season and the money they paid to sign him from Samp last summer.
