Carlo Pellegatti has revealed his fear that AC Milan will be tempted to sell Davide Bartesaghi if offers come in from England.
Bartesaghi’s rapid rise continues as he leapfrogged Pervis Estupinan in Massimiliano Allegri’s pecking order, the summer signing who cost nearly €20m. Previously he had only had glimpses of first team football, under Paulo Fonseca and Sergio Conceiçao.

His brace against Sassuolo last weekend meant that he was the subject of many media headlines, and rightly so too. One of the stories – from La Gazzetta dello Sport – spoke about interest from Arsenal which dates back to the summer.
Now, Carlo Pellegatti has published a video on his YouTube channel in which he spoke about the situation linked to the Italian defender, admitting that he will be worried if a Premier League side does come in for him. Radio Rossonera relayed his words.
“I read a few days ago that English teams (Arsenal above all) are closely following and monitoring Bartesaghi,” he said.
“My fear is that if English sirens were to be raised over Bartesaghi, the temptation to sell him would be too strong. It’s happened before with these managements, and it will happen again. Nothing is being built.”

Well as you could hear from Theo he was told either he left the club or he would be entirely frozen out of the squad, so I guess that is an option for the management regardless of whatever any player wants.

Arsenal will likely not be in for him. His country man Calafiori is already there and Lewis Skelly and Hincapie are options there as well.
If they did in fact sell him they would show the full purpose of the Futuro. Milk the club for talent while earning a quick buck.
Quite frankly if they do that they are basically asking fans to retaliate against the club hierachy with any means possible at hand. My advice to them besides of not selling our talented youngsters is to keep permanently watching over their shoulders because they will bring a crosshair on themselves that wont go away.

Theo had 1 year left on his contract. Bartesaghi has 5.
Even with 1 year left on his contract Milan still couldn’t sell Theo unless Theo agreed to it.
Also, the way Theo behaved last season, he deserved to be treated that way.
Theos unprofessional behavior is a fair discussion but he also said he didn’t demand crazy figures as mentioned in the media but still if the guy was threatened to be frozen out then he clearly would miss the upcoming world cup so it does fully make sense that he took the consequence of the threat and left the club as it otherwise would be detrimental to him.
I don’t mind “rage bait ” if it in some small way creates pressure on mgt to build around homegrown talent. Bartesaghi should be with Milan if that’s what he wants.
