Pellegatti suggests Juventus star Vlahovic as a €35m ‘dream’ for Milan

By Oliver Fisher -

There have been a number of different targets linked with AC Milan as they look for a new centre-forward, but Dusan Vlahovic’s name will raise some eyebrows.

The midfield needs rebuilding after Sandro Tonali’s big-money sale to Newcastle United, and there is a need to sign a striker who can support Olivier Giroud for next season in addition to replacing the Italian.

There have been a number of names circulating from Alvaro Morata and Gianluca Scamacca to Lois Openda, Folarin Balogun and Alexander Sorloth, but there are still fans holding onto the hope a big investment will be made.

Vlahovic would fit that bill. He scored 21 goals in 37 games for Fiorentina in the 2020-21 Serie A season and then netted 17 goals in 21 games for them the following season, before joining Juventus.

With the Bianconeri he scored seven in 15 in the final six months of that campaign after moving in January, and in 2022-23 he scored 10 in 27 as the team struggled in general.

On his YouTube channel Carlo Pellegatti spoke about a potential ‘dream’ for the Rossoneri, with his comments relayed by MilanLive.

“I like to dream big and deceive myself. This news is sweet, tasty and soft: yesterday I read an indiscretion and I’m sharing it with you,” he said.

“Dream, what it costs you, then we will continue with our Scamacca, Morata and Openda, but the indiscretion, I haven’t verified it and I don’t dare to do it, then if the dream comes true we will all be very happy.

“Yesterday I read that Milan might be interested in Dusan Vlahovic. I fell asleep with this hope. Calciostyle writes it, Milan could give 35 million and the rest deferred. Contract worth 5 million euros per season.

“As for the forward, I never thought that Milan stopped at the three names we’re talking about. You will see something from the top hat and Vlahovic is not a rabbit but an elephant. With the purchase of Vlahovic, Milan would not compete for Milinkovic-Savic. It’s a Saturday morning dream…”

  1. My dream also. I can’t describe how excited I would be if this happened. Not happening though. (I hope the footballing gods look at my last comment the way they did when I said it about tonali being sold….OH NOOOO! Vlahovic to Milan. IT SHALL BE SO!!!)

        1. This is what we all thought
I saw that news that day and said to myself “These people have no idea what they’re writing because Sandro will never leave us”…..(can’t stop crying)

    1. It would be between Dusan, Beto and Hojaland, one of them would be the ideal signing and after the Maldini and Tonali debacle would be fitting gesture to the great fans of AC Milan

  2. He scored 10 goals with team struggling, who was struggling Juve? Am i missing something, without point deduction they would have been top 3. This guy is in decline. I would pay max 20 with 5 qdditional if he performs, or loan with option to buy.

Folarin Balogun and Alexander Sorloth are both good strikers that are only getting better.

Why not get some Latin American you g striker for below 15M? Most of the teams now adats play without a number 9.

If we want Milan back at the top we need to be creative and put some good work, like we used to do. Back in the day players became stars in Milan not the other way around.

I am getting sick and tired of our fans depresive attitude of lets buy our way to the top. That was not our culture, where is this coming from, honestly i dont get it.

Maldini is an icon yes, but not above Milan, even Silvio knew that and made the right decission.

    1. You have a good point on the Milan player become famous win Milan and not before that, we need to get some players and hope they explode with us, as Leao, Theo, Mike

  3. 30m for this guy in our system would be tremendous business. Anyone calling him wasted honestly doesn’t know a footballer if they smacked them in the face. Stick to your stats and football manager games

    1. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, mine is he is way overrated and he has now shown while playing for Juve and Serbia. Big NO for me on him and Arnautovic, the latter being a cancer in the dressing room. I stil remember when people thought Bellotti was worth 100M and look where he is now.

If you claim to know football then you should know that there are way better players out there for less money.

      1. Name one player that became a star at Milan that came as an unknown. Milan bought stars and made them bigger stars. I’ll give you one, Gattuso and that’s about it. This is the new age where we are scrapping for bottom feeders and using the weight of the jersey to inspire our next generation of stars.

          1. Fr how about Maignan who was neglected by PSG, or Thiaw who is turning into more and more of a top player, not to mention Theo who was developed into a top player

    1. Honestly Serie A need to open the league to everyone aboe to asquite work permit in Italy to compete with big leagues. Part of the reason of decline is that exact rule, combined with lack of infrastructure.

But to your point he is a Non EU

      1. The non EU rule I believe counts for signings coming from outside of Serie A. If we signed Vlahovic he wouldn’t take up one of our 2 non-EU slots. This is why historically clubs would sign and immediately loan out a nonEU player to another serie A side that has the squad space. In theory we could do this with Kamada though I’m not sure he’d be happy with a random year on loan to Fiorentina for example.

Please correct if someone has better information.

  4. If he leaves Juventus he is going to England and word is Chelsea. Nobody in Serie A has that kind of money…

  5. Juve asking price are 80m euro . Pelegatti only say 35m euro cash infront , the rest pay in many installment

  6. Yes vlahovic let’s sign him since we know Juventus wants to sell the players 35million€ can solve it out.
