Pellegatti: Milan could accept short-term Kessie extension – face-to-face meeting will be key

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are looking to tie Franck Kessie down to a new long-term contract but could accept a shorter-term extension, according to one journalist.

According to Carlo Pellegatti’s latest on YouTube (via MilanLive), a decisive meeting will take place next week between the Milan management and the agent of Kessie, George Atangana. The meeting between Ricky Massara, Paolo Maldini and Kessie’s entourage will be decisive.

The hope is that there is a signature, and Pellegatti adds that the contract is said to be a five-year extension but Milan would be willing to go down to even two or three years if needed, but the important thing is that he signs and remains at the centre of the project.

The journalist also adds that it will not just be talks with Kessie’s entourage that will be key but also a summit with the midfielder himself, once he has returned from the Tokyo Olympics.

  1. if he wants a shorter deal he should accept 4.5M – 5M max. Bring in Kamara this summer then. Atleast he would be ready to take the mate from him
