AC Milan are focusing on the signing of midfielder Sandro Tonali as they have identified him as the perfect partner for Ismael Bennacer.
That is according to journalist Carlo Pellegatti, who addressed the situation in a video on his YouTube channel (via MilanNews). He believes that Tonali will be a focus for the summer window even though his current valuation is €50million, however that could drop to €30-35m given the current circumstances.
The 19-year-old has a contract expiring in 2021 so Cellino will be forced to sell in the summer if he wants to make cash from Tonali, who is also wanted by Juventus and Inter but is the perfect profile for Elliott.
Milan would send a statement by winning the race for Tonali and the idea of pairing the Italy international with Ismael Bennacer in the midfield would be a real statement for the project.
It was reported earlier on Wednesday by SportMediaset that the Rossoneri are keen on signing Tonali, who earlier in the week confirmed that he is still a Milan fan just as he has been since he was young.
