Pellegatti expects Milan to sign midfielder and forward after Reijnders ‘in the next 36 hours’

By Euan Burns -

Italian journalist Carlo Pellegatti believes that AC Milan will swiftly sign Yunus Musah and Arnaut Danjuma following the securing of Tijjani Reijnders.

Speaking whilst on the Tutti Convocati program on Radio 24 (via Milan News), Pellegatti showed immense confidence in the negotiating skills at Milan.

Reijnders is set to have his move announced very soon and the next two targets are another midfielder, a winger and a striker. The deal for a striker, likely Mehdi Taremi, will be more complicated to compete.

According to Pellegatti, it will only take another 36 hours after Reijnders’ arrival for Milan to seal the deals for Yunus Musah from Valencia and Arnaut Danjuma on loan from Villarreal.

“In the next 36 hours Musah and Danjuma will arrive, I think. Then Milan will concentrate on Taremi and a right winger, no longer Chukwueze. Maybe then [Fode] Ballo-Toure will leave and an Italian full-back will arrive in his place,” Pellegatti said.

It seems that Danjuma is the favoured choice on the wing now rather than his Villarreal teammate, Samuel Chukwueze. Taremi is also the favoured striker target, as a deal with Porto seems possible to reach and the player is keen on the move.

  1. So Danjuma and a RW? Interesting. I guess management is also set on Taremi. We will see what happens. It appears they want the new signings to go on preseason as quickly as possible.

  2. If Danjuma ends up as the managements right winger, then they should just resign. Rather gamble on the Danish kid from midjylland than this

    1. I think they are signing Danjuma more as a LW and a back up option to Leao. They don’t seem deterred from signing a RW.

  3. Our rw are all right footed if mesias leaves. Only luka romero’s lefty but dunno if they want to put him straight to the main squad…

  4. Pioli is going to have a lot of options if all these signings come off. Unfortunately it’s going to be a lot of average options.

  5. Guys, there’s nothing special about Danjuma. Even Castillejo is better. He doesn’t play RW, he plays LW. We’d better not gamble with this guy
    For me: Pass accuracy 3/10
    Vision 1/10
    Shoot 5/10
    Dribble 4/10…..

  6. Musah ? Why, never played serie a
Reinndeers – never played out of Dutch league
RLC , injury prone never played out of PL

Looks like we will have a top midfield with so much experience can’t wait, way to go replacing Tonali !!

I know let’s look for some other players who have no experience of the league and are cheap and average and definitely don’t choose any Italians, that’s the way to go 😉

    1. Yes, because Italians are just so awesomely (AVERAGE) right now. And how hard is it to spell someone’s name right? Just because they haven’t played in the league doesn’t mean they are bad. Most of our current team didn’t play in the league before. Like Leao. But go on.

    2. You are so clueless. Never played Serie A … so what? He plays La Liga and in World Cup where he did very well. He is already better than Tonali at age 20. Milan have strengthened their midfield which was the weak point of the team last season, and improved the attack, but you are really just upset because he’s they are not Italian.
Well done Cardinale, this team is much improved now.

  7. Danjuma as our RW is not good. He’s an average player at best. This would be disappointing IF he is our ONLY RW signing. He’d be fine as a back up LW, RW, striker….but not as a starter IMO. Hope we can still get another RW. Likely Isaksen because he’s cheaper.

Musah is a done deal, he’s American and Gerry has to market in the US. Good signing although I’d prefer Gravenbach but he seems too expensive for us.

    1. Wrong. He can play RW. Right footed and as ST. Same as Leao. Means you have a dynamic attacking line. Can score. Can drop balls to FC. His stats not bad 7 goals in 13 games. Better than Salas & Co
