Pellegatti: New signing Pellegrino has been ‘very very very strong’ so far

There have been some very positive signs filtering from Milanello regarding the first impressions of new signing Marco Pellegrino, it is claimed.

Carlo Pellegatti has given an update on a few different topics during an interview with Radio Rossonera, and he stated that Pierre Kalulu will remain at the club despite interest from Bayern Munich.

“And then we get to Kalulu. And then we can say it, it’s official: Kalulu is not moving,” he said.

“I asked today, they didn’t deny me the plausibility of Origi, while they told me of Pierre: ‘No, he’s staying at Milan and Bayern and Inter will make a good case otherwise’, who have to sign Pavard.

“So, don’t put Kalulu in the middle, who for me remains the first alternative to Thiaw and Tomori.”

Pellegatti also went on to talk about Milan’s ninth and most recent summer signing Marco Pellegrino, who signed from Club Atletico Platense in Argentina for a fee of €3-3.5m depending on which source you believe.

He has only been in Italy for a week or so, but the journalist actually mentioned that he has been hearing some very positive reports regarding the 21-year-old from the training ground.

“Then we have Marco Pellegrino, who they tell me is very very very strong. Very strong. I give a preview. Since ‘garra’ means ‘claw’, then I would like to give him this nickname: ‘Devil’s claw’.”

How long we will have to wait to see Pellegrino on the field remains to be seen, but if he keeps impressing then Pioli might be tempted to give him some minutes, even if off the bench.
