Pellegatti suggests Maldini is getting ‘tired’ of Donnarumma renewal saga

By Oliver Fisher -

Paolo Maldini is growing impatient regarding the resolution of Gianluigi Donnarumma’s contract situation, according to a report.

There is now less than 90 days until Donnarumma’s contract with Milan is set to expire and the issue continues to dominate the media headlines as the parties are seemingly no closer to striking an agreement that would see the Italy international remain with his boyhood club.

Several major source – like La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) – are reporting that there is a stand-off between the Rossoneri management and agent Mino Raiola as Milan have made their best offer but have not yet received a response.

In his latest video on YouTube, well-known journalist and Milan fan Carlo Pellegatti talked about the Donnarumma situation and in particular how Maldini is feeling about the fact that the soap opera is continuing to drag on.

“At the moment we are not sure if he can stay at Milan. Paolo has always said that he would do everything to keep the 1999-born goalkeeper,” he said (via MilanLive).

“But on Saturday, in his pre Parma-Milan interview, he seemed, for the first time, cold, almost tired of the subject, always polite but he said very clearly to ‘continue an adventure together you have to be happy in two’. As if to say ‘we would be happy, obviously under the right conditions, in our opinion, but two of us need to be happy’.”
