AC Milan consider Jean-Clair Todibo a potential world-class talent, a journalist claims, suggesting they will go all-out for his signature.
MilanNews.it’s Anto Vitiello recently gave an update on the Todibo situation by claiming there was meeting in early December between Paolo Maldini and director Eric Abidal over the Frenchman.
He also stated that Todibo has said ‘yes’ to a Milan move, but Barcelona want to sell him permanently and the Rossoneri find the €20million asking price too high, while the option of inserting a buy-back does not interest Maldini either.
Now, journalist Carlo Pellegatti has given an update on his YouTube channel, referencing the performance that Todibo but in against Lautaro Martinez in Inter-Barcelona earlier this month.
He claims that the player is pushing for a move to Milan due to the fact that despite his exceptional performance against Inter, he was still benched for the next game.
In addition, the player is apparently looking for a team just like Milan: a team that right now is not exactly at the highest level, but a team that believes in him and can make him improve.
The talks with Barcelona have been positive, Pellegatti continues, with the Spanish club wanting €20million, and the journalist does not believe that the Catalan side wish to insert a buy-back clause as he is not an academy product.
The only obstacle now therefore is cost, and Pellegatti concludes by suggesting the sale of Ricardo Rodriguez could help bridge that gap.
