Pioli backs ‘strong’ Diaz but admits: “He can still improve in the final third”

Brahim Diaz has been in the spotlight lately as AC Milan must make a decision on him very soon, given that the two-year loan will expire at the end of the season. During his presser, Stefani Pioli backed the No.10.

Diaz has seven goals and six assists this season but as a result of many highs and lows, the Rossoneri fans are very divided on whether he should stay or not. Tomorrow, he will play from start against Juventus, hoping to shine again.

During his press conference, which you can read here, Pioli was asked about Diaz and stated that he’s a very important player for Milan. However, he also admitted that the Spaniard still can improve in the final third.

Tomorrow we’ll play with Brahim, he’s strong and he’s giving us good solutions. There will always be those who don’t agree with a certain type of player or manager. Diaz has grown a lot, but he can still improve in the final third by scoring a few more goals,” he stated as cited by MilanNews.

Of course, Diaz’s future doesn’t just depend on Milan but also Real Madrid. AS reported earlier today that the Bernabeu side have decided to take the playmaker back as a replacement for Marco Asensio.
