Pioli backs ‘strong’ Diaz but admits: “He can still improve in the final third”

By Isak Möller -

Brahim Diaz has been in the spotlight lately as AC Milan must make a decision on him very soon, given that the two-year loan will expire at the end of the season. During his presser, Stefani Pioli backed the No.10.

Diaz has seven goals and six assists this season but as a result of many highs and lows, the Rossoneri fans are very divided on whether he should stay or not. Tomorrow, he will play from start against Juventus, hoping to shine again.

During his press conference, which you can read here, Pioli was asked about Diaz and stated that he’s a very important player for Milan. However, he also admitted that the Spaniard still can improve in the final third.

Tomorrow we’ll play with Brahim, he’s strong and he’s giving us good solutions. There will always be those who don’t agree with a certain type of player or manager. Diaz has grown a lot, but he can still improve in the final third by scoring a few more goals,” he stated as cited by MilanNews.

Of course, Diaz’s future doesn’t just depend on Milan but also Real Madrid. AS reported earlier today that the Bernabeu side have decided to take the playmaker back as a replacement for Marco Asensio.

  1. what a love story between these 2 man that ruin our milan, pioli’s love blind him to see that brahim only perform in 1 of 9 matchs

    1. Scudetto and a UCL semi. Yep they sure ruined Milan…and I’m not even a fan of Diaz. But some of u fans only been watching the last 3 or so years

      1. we won scudetto couse tonali kessie play consistently superb in pivot, be honest most our goals came from counter attack from theo and leao and 2nd half of season kessie playing as atm in Diaz position, he enjoy sitting in bench
ucl you know that we face tottenham and napoli where leao and bannecer who make a play not diaz creativity 😂😂

    1. I think Diaz is a superb technically, his skill levels surpass even Leao”s but physically he fails every time, In the UCL semi he was beaten physically every time and it just wiped out our attacking play every time.

I don’t know what can be done about the physical aspect, even though Messi, Xavi, Inesta, Kun amongst others proved size is not everything
