AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli insisted that his side ‘lacked the clarity to better command the game’ and suffered as a result during their draw with Salernitana.
Junior Messias’ early goal gave the Rossoneri the perfect start but they were pegged back by Bonazzoli’s equaliser, and then Milan Djuric gave the hosts the lead before Ante Rebic hit back, though the Diavolo could not force a late winner in the end.
Pioli spoke to Milan TV at the end of the match against Salernitana, with his comments relayed by MilanNews.
“We lacked the clarity to better command the game and above all the technical precision that would have allowed us to be more dangerous,” he said.
“It’s clear our fans are fantastic for the passion they transfer to us. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to win the match and everyone is sorry.
“All matches teach you something, we had to be a little better on the pitch, try to be a little more compact while at times we were a bit hectic and stretched out.”
