MN: Pioli grants Milan squad extended rest after late heroics against Lazio

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli has granted the squad a period of rest after the last minute heroics in the win against Lazio last night, a report claims.

Heading into the second half the Rossoneri knew they had to dig deep to keep their title hopes alive after Ciro Immobile’s early goal, and that’s exactly what they did.

Pioli’s men levelled the game shortly after the interval through Olivier Giroud’s close range finish and then they won it in the second minute of added time as Sandro Tonali bundled in after a headed assist from Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

According to what is being reported by MilanNews, Pioli has decided to give the team two days of rest after last night’s drama in the capital, meaning the Rossoneri squad will reconvene at Milanello on Wednesday to start preparing for the next league match against Fiorentina, scheduled for Sunday at 15:00 CEST at San Siro.

  1. Big mistake! 1 day rest i enough, They need to prepare and at least watch videos today of how to beat Fiorentina.

    1. You’re not the one who plays for 95+ minutes intense match while drenched in sweat, injured, and bruised here bud. They deserves two rest of days.

  2. we’re overachieving as it is. So if pioli’s thoughts are the boys need rest, he knows them best, and let them rest. Home games worry me ;/ fiora has some danger to their atk even witout vlahovic
