MN: One of Pioli’s missions is to find the talismanic form of Rebic again

By Oliver Fisher -

Among the main missions of keeping the winning run going and staying with the pace atop the table, Stefano Pioli has some side tasks to complete such as helping Ante Rebic find his best form against.

MilanNews writes how Rebic has been one of the great absentees this season having missed several crucial games, and now he has returned his recent performances have been far below expectations, with the Croatian displaying the kind of rustiness you might expect after a long absence.

He has scored only one goal this season, which is too few compared to the double figures he achieved in his first and second campaigns with the Rossoneri. The former Frankfurt man has already missed 17 games this year, consequently losing a starting position to an inspired Rafael Leao.

Pioli without him found was lacking an alternative both on the left flank and in the centre-forward role when Ibrahimovic and Giroud could have used some rest. Rebic got decent playing time against Lazio and Sampdoria while offering lacklustre performances, but he hopes to get back to 100% soon and to continue his trend of being decisive down the stretch.
