Pioli strongly suggests he wants Brahim Diaz to stay and lists four of his qualities

Stefano Pioli certainly seems to have strongly suggested that he would like to see Brahim Diaz remain beyond the end of his loan spell.

The Spaniard has had his ups and downs this season but in the last few months he seems to have made the attacking midfielder role his own despite the club making a big summer investment on Charles De Ketelaere.

The most recent report regarding his future came from MilanNews who stated that the Rossoneri want to keep him but not at the €22m agreed upon when the loan deal was agree. However, there seems to be room for negotiation and a lot will likely depend on the will of the Spaniard.

Pioli spoke to the journalists who gathered at Milanello for his pre-match press conference and he was asked for his thoughts on how Brahim continues to develop, with his comments relayed by MilanNews.

“He is a complete player, with his characteristics. A player of great quality, inspiration, work, sacrifice. I work very well with Brahim, he’s doing very well. We’re only in March, then we’ll see,” he said.
