Tuttosport: Pioli considers Vranckx ahead of other summer signings – more chances will come

AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli intends to place more trust in Aster Vranckx once the season gets back underway next month, a report claims.

Today’s edition of Tuttosport (via PianetaMilan) talks about Milan and its young players and Vranckx in particular gets a mention. The midfielder arrived in the summer window on a season-long loan with an €11m option to buy from Bundesliga side Wolfsburg.

The Belgian U21 international has ‘become one of the most popular players in the squad’, so much so that the fans want to see him tried as a box-to-box attacking midfielder given that he has so far looked technically good and athletic in the opportunities Pioli has given him.

In particular, Vranckx’s excellent performance in the last league match against Fiorentina remains etched in everyone’s memory, as he had a hand in Milenkovic’s own goal that won the game in the final stages.

According to the Turin-based newspaper, Pioli will give him more chances from January onwards because he happy with the player, so much so that he considers him ahead of all among the new signings in terms of adaptation and the learning of the game concepts.
