MN: Several players show up at Milanello to train despite being given day off

By Oliver Fisher -

Some members of the AC Milan squad showed their commitment to the cause today at Milanello by showing up on a day off.

MilanNews reported yesterday that Pioli decided to give the team two days of rest after Sunday night’s drama in the capital, meaning the Rossoneri squad were meant to reconvene at the training complex on Wednesday to start preparing for the next league match against Fiorentina, scheduled for Sunday at 15:00 CEST at San Siro.

According to the same source, despite having the day off several players showed up anyway at Milanello in addition to the injured players who are continuing their recovery process, such as Simon Kjaer and Alessandro Florenzi.

Other Rossoneri players such as Junior Messias showed up to the sports centre in Carnago to show that they are willing to keep working hard to achieve the dream of a 19th Scudetto for the Rososneri at the end of the season.

  1. I hate when they do this. Take the day off and rest to avoid injuries later on. They did the same thing last year when we were leading the table and then ran out of steam during winter. It’s the adrenaline that’s getting to them which still shows a bit of inexperience

  2. Based on how Mesias played agains Lazio, maybe it’s not a good idea to sign him for 5M
The boy has football in his legs
Though his age is a problem of course…

  3. What’s good with messias is his humility and recognizing no boundaries to success by maximizing his God given talent in the opportunity given by Pioli & Milan management. He will be good substitute role for his direct play. Though might not be good investment in the books. But it was a good recruitment this season.
