PM: Milan plan to discuss keeping €25m Real Madrid playmaker – player happy to stay

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan would like to explore the possibility of keeping Brahim Diaz beyond the summer window, according to a report.

As per Transfermarkt, Brahim has four goals and three assists in 25 appearances across all competitions for the Rossoneri, with three of those goals coming in the Europa League.

PianetaMilan write that the Milan management have been handed a boost in their attempts to keep the 21-year-old due of the uncertain future of Zinedine Zidane. He is a great admirer of Brahim and would have liked to have him available in the 2021-22 season.

However, Zidane looks set to leave the club at the end of the season and therefore any forward planning seems to be irrelevant.

There are two ways that the Rossoneri could keep Brahim, and the first is to make an offer to buy the player outright. Real Madrid value the playmaker at €25million, while the Diavolo would like to pay a maximum of €20m.

The more likely scenario at the moment is the renewal of the dry loan for another season, so that Milan can have Brahim Díaz also available next year, perhaps in the Champions League, and that Real can further develop their player on more prestigious stages.

After having sorted some key renewals, Milan will open talks with Real Madrid to establish the future of Brahim Díaz, who would more than willingly stay with the Rossoneri.
