AC Milan midfielder Tommaso Pobega has spoken very positively about the new signings that AC Milan have made and is pleased to see how quickly they are fitting in at the club.
Much of the Rossoneri squad regrouped on Monday for the beginning of pre-season and that included Pobega, who spoke to Milan TV about his time off and the day itself (via Milan News).
He was asked about the atmosphere of the group and he said the new signings were fitting in well, with Ruben Loftus-Cheek’s existing friendship with Fikayo Tomori coming in handy.
“They can give us a lot, they are fitting in. Ruben [Loftus-Cheek] knows Fik [Tomori] well, it will be easier to integrate him. We already know [Marco] Sportiello. With Luka Romero we will also start in America to get to know each other,” he said.
Pobega spoke happily about what he got up to in the summer, when he went on holiday to Iceland: “I did Iceland and the mountains, it was another planet. I chose it with my partner as we had done enough swimming. We decided to go to Iceland and it was really nice, you get in touch with nature and there’s a different climate.”
On the first day of training back at Milanello, the midfielder explained that it is always tough physically to come back.
“The first training session is always tougher because you start doing things again after a month. We train because we are professionals and we are happy to be back here in Milanello. We have already worked well and we must continue throughout the week,” he said.
Milan will be heading to America for some friendly matches soon, and on those games, he said: “They’ll be important tests, we’ll work well and put minutes in our legs so that we’ll arrive on the first day with our legs nice and ready.”
Hopefully you will also improved this season, we need it.
