Should the Italian call, Morata could answer and find solidity, perhaps, as the report states, he could be the ‘possible new striker’.
At the risk of repeating myself, a front line with Giminez, Morata, Leao and Pulisic will score enough goals for Milan to be successful – if the funds saved are invested in properly building out the midfield and back line to reduce the goals we concede.

Ricci, Frendrup, Xhaka/Partey, Modric and keep Pobega/Adli (whoever is better for Allegri) – this is more than enough to restore midfield if it’s 3 men midfield and achievable… if not take out Frendrup and Adli/Pobega and 2 men system also is fine

Get jashari & a young talented destroyer CM; if not take a hard look at Futuro and Primavera (Vos, eletu & others).
I hate to digress but look at Bob Omoregbe had a good cameo against Cagliari(he looked like Leao 2.0/ strong like leao & comfortable on the right wing and yet valuable minutes where wasted playing jao Felix.
Such decisions don’t make sense given the excel sheet approach of the management. If this guy played consistently he would definitely turn out good and maybe get sold for 25m to 50m (after a season or two) but we had to play jao Felix and still miss out on UCL, EL, UECL & coppa italia trophy.

It depends a lot on his attitude. Hope he was honest about the coaching factor, if so then there should be a solution under our noses, provided Allegri is willing to work with him…coaches always come with their own ideas. And as you say we could concentrate on other pressing areas of the team.

Mr Conceicao came In with a big stick. Sadly, that style management doesn’t work anymore – feather duster treatment for most players, now!
Not the end of the world if Morata comes back on a summer’s rest, a few other experienced players around and with his head in the right place.
If they want to throw 25m€ for Vlahovic and give him a 6-8m€ per year , then use Morata is better idea… he has good relationship with Alegri and in both times when they was together, they win Scudetto… Fonseca has delusions and don’t know how to use Morata + his “attacking style” was great, when Morata play as AM… if he try with Milan another season it can be good for Alegri and also for Gimenez, Morata has many experience and can help him to grow

I was open to Morata the first time, despite his mostly awful offensive record in nearly all his previous teams. Unfortunately, he disappointed again. I would prefer that we tried anyone else, even unproven players. Please do not have a short memory.
Good to read someone being logical. Morata was bad the 6 month he was at the team, and he has not been great at his last teams, and will be 33 years old for next season. Gimenez should be given the chance, and if they want a veteran striker, why not go for Mitrovic that there are rumours he wants to return to Europe and is a very good goalscorer
Morata/Gimenez could be a really good forward pair. Morata moves around more, Gimenez stays central and in the box. The compliment each other well.

lets keep Luka Jovic, he has proven always, hes got that hunger , good for a 2nd or 3rd striker
