At the start of the season, Davide Bartesaghi was a somewhat unknown prospect in the AC Milan team. Now, he could be launched internationally.

In the summer, Bartesaghi had options to move away. However, Milan opted to keep their youngster secure at the club, believing that he could be the deputy for Pervis Estupinan. Now, just a few months on, he is the likely starter.

Coming in when Estupinan was suspended, the Italian has regularly put in consistent performances and has now raised a doubt about the position. Who should start, the summer arrival or the youngster?

In a game where experienced heads often excel, the inexperience of the youngster was not seen. Instead, he was composed, getting strong ratings from the media for his performance.

It could even be a road to more than a starting place for the Rossoneri, with the report citing words from Gianluigi Buffon, who stated that the left-back has been on his watchlist for some time. In fact, he could soon enter the Italian National Team picture, with Gennaro Gattuso present for the derby.

The future looks bright, indeed.

  1. Ricci, Gabbia, Bartesaghi becoming regulars would be something that we have been missing in years as Milan fans

if Atalanta will miss out on Europa and UCL which there are high chances for that to happen, Bellanova should be a no-brainer (can do RM, LM and RB). [another Italy rep]

      1. What are you talking about? He didn’t get any chances and left for Bordeaux to play in the first team, like 99.9% of youngsters that were at Milan Primavera do. The list is endless. 4 years later he was on loan to Inter for 1 season. You have negative IQ, I am certain of it. You didn’t have a single good input here for years. You don’t even know what you’re talking about…

        1. I will actually have to side with O’Gabbs here on the part of him being a merda as Bellanova actually has expressed his gratitude for the time with AC Milan but that he also had supported Inter as a kid as the majority of his family had always been Interistas. In regard of him leaving though he refused to renew his contract as he was behind both Calabria and Conti who at the time wasn’t injured so that didn’t leave him much room to get a first team spot instead we ending up getting paid a small developing fee by Bordeaux but staying for the remainder of the season with the primavera. He nevertheless first joined Inter 3 years after leaving Milan after various loans and even signing for Cagliari before his loan to our arch enemies.
Whether he might be a good signing despite him being an Interista might be a completely different matter though.

  2. I hope that starting next season, I will be able to see Zeroni, Camarda, Chaka Traore, Cheveyo Balentien, and Eletu playing consistently in the first team.

  3. I really like what I see from him individually and hope he continues to progress. At first he was shaky but he really has grown into the role.

  4. He will learn and only improve. He needs to have the courage to take on an opponent in 1v1 situations in the last third of the pitch. If he does this and is successful in or or two situations, an inner stimulation will propel him to greatness.

  5. He has a great left leg – crosses, passes. What’s he’s missing the most is the ability to run with the ball (it would be unfair to compare him to Theo). If you’ll notice, he’s almost immediately looking to get rid of the ball. If he’ll work on that, we might have World class defender
