By Oliver Fisher -

Ignazio Abate’s Primavera side are about to get a reinforcement as AC Milan have agreed a deal with VfB Stuttgart for Jan-Carlo Simic, a report claims.

The need for defensive reinforcements perhaps became apparent on Saturday in the first Primavera league game as Milan led 3-1 at the break Frosinone came roaring back after the break and scored four unanswered goals in the second half.

The rearguard totally capitulated in truth as a mixture of slack marking and giving the ball away in dangerous areas saw the visitors draw level before they stole in late on and sealed the deal in added time.

According to Calciomercato.com, Milan have acted on this and last few hours they have closed the deal with Stuttgart to bring Jan-Carlo Simic to the youth sector.

The 17-year-old is physically imposing and is a Serbia U17 international. He should arrive tomorrow and the day after he will complete medical examinations and sign the contracts before joining the Primavera squad in a deal worth around €200k.
