Paris Saint-Germain boss Luis Enrique provided a humorous response when asked about whether Rafael Leao is a target for the club heading into the summer.
There have been widespread rumours claiming that PSG are interested in Leao as a potential replacement for Kylian Mbappe, whose contract expires in a few months and seems bound for Real Madrid.
Of course it is likely that the Portuguese winger would command a huge transfer fee if he were to leave Milan, especially after his renewal last year with a €175m release clause, but the stories keep emerging.
During a pre-match press conference today Luis Enrique was asked about the rumours linking PSG with Leao.
“Is he a singer? [He smiles and continues] It’s a joke, I know exactly who he is. But I can’t discuss a player who is not at our club,” he said.
Of course Enrique is very much well aware of who Leao is given he scored against PSG for Milan in the Champions League group stages, as the Rossoneri won 2-1 at San Siro.
Lol, the irony is, Leao is also a Singer/Rapper.
He isn’t wrong 😅
