Liverpool are weighing up a move to bring Christian Pulisic back to the Premier League, according to a report from one journalist.
As a reminder, Pulisic is no stranger to the Premier League, having joined Chelsea from Borussia Dortmund in 2019 for a fee widely reported to be €64m. He made 145 appearances across all competitions in his four years, scoring 26 goals and providing 21 assists.
The USA international was also part of the squad that lifted the Champions League after beating Manchester City. From there he headed to Milan to try and revive his career after a difficult last couple of years, and he certainly succeeded.
Liverpool monitoring Pulisic
Just a few days ago, Tuttomercatoweb claimed that Pulisic expected a renewal offer from Milan by now which has not arrived. As a result, they claimed that Arsenal and Liverpool are monitoring his situation closely in view of the summer window.

Now, Nicolo Schira of Tuttosport has tweeted the following: “Liverpool are monitoring Christian Pulisic. His contract expires in 2027 (€4m + €1m in bonuses), even if Milan have unilateral option to extend until 2028. Pulisic is happy at Milan, but was expecting a contract extension never offered by Milan until now.”
So, while Matteo Moretto stated earlier today that there is no urgency on Milan’s part to sit down and discuss new terms with Pulisic, the interest from some top clubs around Europe – particularly with the riches of the Premier League – might just accelerate the process.

Lub control until 38 so much leverage and time
Yes, but the time to do this properly is this summer. Two years from expiry (2027 + 1 year option in Pulisic’s case) is the moment to either cash in at max value, or move a player on. This club has a dismal record in this respect, always waiting until the last minute to try to renew or risk losing a player for free. So they either need to extend Pulisic this summer, or exercise the option AND then sell him to the highest bidder if they don’t intend to extend him long term.
If a player requests a transfer, they’re leaving. You don’t want unhappy players at the club. So yes, there is the contract, but there is also what the player wants. Remember, Reijnders left still under contract.
Pulisic would love a 10 yr career at Milan, if he gets to play and the team is winning a trophy here and there. He sees this legendary club as a destination. He probably isn’t overjoyed with current tactics, but he doesn’t see AC Milan as a stepping stone to Liverpool.
I agree with everything including the big ‘IF’.
💯
Are you sure about that? Liverpool can offer him a LOT more money
LOL. If you’ve paid any attention him outside the pitch, he’s not that into money.
