New signing Christian Pulisic has joked that he is enjoying the food and the weather a bit more than in London as he continues to adapt to life as an AC Milan player.
Pulisic became Milan’s fourth summer signing earlier in the month as he joined from Chelsea on a four-year contract. He got his first run-out in the 7-0 preseason win against Lumezzane earlier in the week, racking up two assists.
The USA international as back in his home country as part of the tour the Rossoneri are on, and he spoke to TLN TV as part of media commitments last night. He was asked about adapting to a new club, and any advice he might have for others.
“The food has been great so far, the weather is definitely a bit warmer than in London which is always good. I like the warm weather, seeing the sun a lot,” he began.
“As far as tips go, the best advice I can give is to jump into the culture. Do your best, learn about the people there, try to learn the language, just make an effort.
“I think when people see that, they respect it. It’s a tough thing, even for myself. Going through a big change, everything new, meeting a whole new team and coming in you feel like you have to give something extra to show you’re a part of this team, that you’re good enough.
“It’s a bit of a crazy feeling but I think it’s important to just be yourself, trust in your ability and everything is going to be ok.”
