AC Milan had two representatives in the United States’ victory against Panama, and the two Rossoneri players worked together to score the first goal of the Mauricio Pochettino era, much to the delight of Christian Pulisic.
In the past 12 months, Pulisic has often been the talk of America and Milan. After all, his record for club and country speaks for itself, and he has established himself as one of the most consistent goal threats in Europe.

So far, he has five goals and two assists from seven Serie A games, proving his importance to the Diavolo, and this transferred to his most recent American showing, as he assisted Yunus Musah after some nice play.
Speaking after the victory, Pulisic joked that the midfielder had been paying attention to his goalscoring, and his words to ESPN have been relayed by Milan News.
“I told him it was the instinct to score. He watched me. He learnt a couple of things. But honestly, that moment… it’s great to see it.”
With a fine performance in the game against Panama, Musah could attempt to make a push into the Milan squad when he returns, with Fonseca considering rotating his side more in the coming weeks.
I was there for that match and got to see that play and goal right in front of me. Puli is so quick abd sharp. But watching him during the match, all the things he does off the ball is incredible. The movement, he conducts play, breaks up passing lanes in d, he tracks back and sneaks up on people to win back possession, then he turns and plays that quick give and go and puts in a great ball across the six. Poch is kind of using him similar to fonseca but on the other side by having Robinson overlap abd Puli tucks in, where he can cause all the damage. Musah, more of the same issues with him, he looks more comfortable as a winger and he still does a lot of great work with the ball but his final pass and his combos with his teammates are way off. Great to see two Milan players help win the match.
I’d like to see us sell Theo, buy Robinson from Fulham, and spend the difference on a RB!
They’ll never do it, because the asking price for Robinson is €40M, and ManU and Liverpool are both in for him, but in a perfect world…
Robinson was a Maldini target a few years back.
We got him into Milan and the Medical tests, but he failed one for the heart. From what I remember, Italy is more stringent with heart related anomalies (the reason why Inter had to let go of Eriksson, but Manchester United picked him up afterwards). As a result, we gave up on him.
Pretty sure Robinson won’t pass the medical tests now if he didn’t back then.
Poch released Pulisic early. He is skipping Tuesday’s match against Mexico to return to Milan.
All good news. Musah gets some game time and puts the ball in the net, Pulisic plays well in 65 minutes and does not get injured, then heads back to Milan early, so this more or less counts as a rest.
It would have been great to see Puli cook Mexico yet again, but it’s the right choice to release him early. Fonseca will play him every minute since his job is on the line.
For real. Love watching him against Mexico. He basically owns them. But this is definitely the right move since it’s only a friendly and Milan have a ton of important games coming up. He needs the rest.
I LOVE Poch! My New favorite manager! Sending Puli back is smart, savvy, and wise. No one needs to see him get hurt or play w weak legs. Keep the player’s club happy so they are more willing to work w him on the future. Puli can also focus on the rest of the squad since he knows what he has in Puli. A win for everyone! Including the usmnt defensive players…
