Christian Pulisic played a big role in AC Milan’s 2-0 win against Empoli this evening and after the game, he shared his thoughts with the media. He highlighted that the Rossoneri have a lot of quality in the team.
It ended up being a tough game for Milan at Stadio Carlo Castellani and things didn’t get better by a Fikayo Tomori red card. Fortunately, Empoli were brought down to ten men as well shortly after, and Pulisic made the most of that as we named him the MOTM for the game.
Taking on his man, he found Rafael Leao at the back post and Milan had their opener. Then, he assisted Santiago Gimenez for his first goal with the club. Speaking to DAZN after the game, as cited by MilanNews, he highlighted this quality that the Rossoneri have.
On the win…
“The three points are the most important thing. A bit of difficulty in the first half but in the second half, we played well. This is the spirit, we have a lot of quality in this team with him [Gimenez] and the others.”
The standings aren’t quite good enough yet though…
“We want consistency and to finish in the top four. That’s our goal.”
The American got some rest tonight, hence why he started on the bench, but he will surely play from start against Feyenoord. It’s been said many times before, but his importance to this team really cannot be overstated.
Very important player for our beloved team❤️🖤
Nothing much to write about in the first half, except the fact that the entire team was awful.
The second half was pretty OK. The substitutions made the difference. The 3 ponts was very important despite winning dirty. I hope the team improves more than what we’ve seen going forward.
Overall, kudos to the lads.
FORZA MILAN…

FORZA MILAN…
Pulisic had 2 assists that won the game. He makes a big difference to this team. Chukwueze and Salaemakers are not at the level of even a backup for Pulisic.
Milan must make signing Orsolini a priority this summer.
How about that new guy Sottil? Havent really seen him play yet. Sure, he wont be Pulisic level but maybe a decent backup? I’d rather see them buy a midfielder over another winger.
Two solid assists for Puli but two great goals from Leão and Santi. We have so much quality now when we get our big players on the pitch, but we’re not deep enough to easily win games with a rotated lineup.
Yes, Milan not only have Pulisic, Leao, Reijnders and Theo, but now they have Gimenez and Felix as game changer. Next summer hopefully, other quality players also will come and send-out players like RLC, Chuckwueze, Abraham, and Emerson or maybe Tomori to bring Ricci, Lucca, and Silva in.
Keep it up Pulisic
Our MVP for the last 2 seasons.
The new signings have certainly added bite to the attack, and optimism in the team. However, the midfielders are still struggling to get their passes right. I watched Como vs Juventus, and I was really impressed with the way Como played. My daughter was, too. After the first half of Milan’s game, I had to allow my daughter watch cartoon on the TV, while I joined the match, on my phone, in the 60th minute. Milan is still struggling. They are not good enough, despite the new signings, yet, they are already getting complacent. They need to work on their gameplay, then, other things will fall in place.
