Pulisic says Milan got ‘a great start’ with Venezia win and previews Liverpool clash

Christian Pulisic bagged a goal and an assist in AC Milan’s 4-0 win against Venezia on Saturday evening. With it being the first win of the season, and the American playing a huge hand in it, he was understandably very happy after the final whistle.

Milan scored all of their goals within the first 30 minutes of the game and Pulisic managed to get on the scoresheet. After assisting the second goal, which was given to Youssouf Fofana, the winger converted the first penalty calmy and thus got a very good rating from us.

Speaking to DAZN after the game, as cited by MilanNews, Pulisic stated that it was the best possible way for Milan to bounce back. He also praised the Rossoneri’s new striker Tammy Abraham, who of course was a teammate at Chelsea as well.

Best way to respond?

“It was a great start for us. To get a win like this, with four goals and a clean sheet. We have to continue like this and build on this win.”

Abraham can help in the derby…

“We know what kind of player Tammy is and what he can give us.”

On the Liverpool game…

“It’s the first Champions League game against a great team, and it’s obviously a great challenge. We are lucky to play at home. Hopefully, we can play well and get the result.”

The Liverpool game is scheduled for Tuesday evening and Pulisic is almost certain to play from the first minute. Having said that, it will be interesting to see how Fonseca handles the rotation as Inter are up at the weekend.
