AC Milan are gifted to have an international squad, and this means that players will sometimes face each other during international duty, and this week, we could see this happen once more.
The international break properly kickstarts over the next few days, and whilst some players are returning to Milanello after a break gifted by Sergio Conceicao, others are preparing to begin fighting for World Cup qualification, or even continental glory.
Three of those players to be doing so are Christian Pulisic, Yunus Musah and Santiago Gimenez, and the trio very well could face off on Monday, March 24, as Tuttosport (via Milan Press) writes.
Pulisic and Musah will play a play-off game against Panama, whilst Gimenez faces the challenge of Canada, and if both sides win, they will play each other on Monday night in the CONCACAF Nations League final.
Musah, who has regularly been better for his nation than his club, will look to try and gain some momentum whilst away, whilst Pulisic will look to extend his run of good form, captaining his side to glory.
For Gimenez, there have also been some difficulties, but the striker could find ‘new life’ whilst on international duty, which the club will hope for.
I know he has the “Captain America” moniker, and WAS the USMNT captain, but the thruth is, for the past 3-4 years, when he isn’t injured, Tyler Adams is the captain, not CP.
True, but CP was the best player.
The unimaginative morons in the media have called every average American who goes to Europe “Captain America,” which is why Pulisic has never been excited about the moniker.
The less-than-intelligent media have called every average American who goes to Europe “Captain America,” which is why he doesn’t like the moniker.
Aguirre quiet on whether he’ll start Raul Jimenez or Santi. Finally came to his senses and didn’t call up Ochoa. Hard to believe El Tri have lost three in a row to Canada.
Puli will have to carry Stars and Stripes since injuries to Antonee Robinson, Balogun, and Cardozo make them a significantly weakened team. They didn’t have much depth to begin with. Weah needs to step up. Maybe Gio Reyna will have a good day for once in his life.
