Christian Pulisic is not best pleased with AC Milan’s current situation and a summer exit cannot be ruled out.

According to Tuttosport, this means that there could be some rather major outgoings, in order to plug the gap. Tijjani Reijnders is among the obvious candidates to leave, given that Manchester City are keen on him and seem willing to offer an amount of €70m+.
The paper goes on to add that Pulisic – who has been one of the best players this season in addition to Reijnders – is ‘not very happy with the situation’ at Milan and has clubs that are courting him.

In it’s current state, they won’t get right value for any “top” player they sell, they won’t re ruit top player without overpaying, they will get 2/3 mediocre fillers for a star….
It makes no sense. The team does have talent.. clearly, we lack adequate top of the line coaching .
Milan will just not be able to do a massive rebuilt. It really starts more with:
– sport director(SD)
– next coach by SD
– try rehire stars by SD
– get most value of obvious departures FIRST
– get most value of players out on loans and buy clauses
– us parent company(new SD and new Coach) and plugged remaining holes and prepare budget for 1or 2 playes for around 50-55M.
Remaining signatures on loans with option and or off co tract signings. – Perhaps more Italians in general, but it depends if they are arguably better and value than an alternative.
The main Milan problem are the management. Too many voices. Too many mediocre managers. Too many micro managers. Hahaha

Pulisic doesn’t have any transfer headlines like Reijdners and Leao, who has actual clubs by name show interest in them. There is no known club interested in Pulisic. Only rumors there are multiple clubs in the Premier League that want him. Until one club comes forward, I don’t believe a word of it.

I doubt this is more than someone guessing his mood. Unhappy of course. Who in the team is happy about not making European comps. But if they make few smart moves could be easy to see similar rise like Napoli from last yr to this one. They need to find balance and solve the defensive struggles. If they do that they’ll challenge for the scudetto and be back in Europe next yr.

I agree that most of these articles are nothing more than rehashing what we already know or to serve as click bait. I do not believe that Pulisic wants to leave. What he wants is for the team to improve and rise to to a level that competes for the Scudetto year after year. That said, management needs to identify an upgrade / replacement for every position on the team. If we can sell Reinders and use the funds to improve the team at one of more positions then pull the trigger. That goes for every player. If we can sell Theo for a price that results in an upgrade at LB then do it. Right now our midfield is the weakest link in the chain. TJ is a superb player but AC Milan might be stronger by addition through subtraction. If we can sell him and improve that position and possibly a second position then management did their job.

He’s not going anywhere. He likes Milan and Italy. The only thing is he’s used to playing in the champions league every year and he’s in his prime so he doesn’t want to waste it. My guess is he wants to make sure they have a GOOD plan going forward which starts with getting a GOOD coach. I would sell Leao and Theo and use that cash to build around Pulisic and Reijnders.
I think the issue for Pulisic is how ACM play. It’s not a team, it’s give the ball to Leão. He is a player who likes structure. ACM has no real tactical structure. I always believed there was some truth to his issues with the manager.

Leao is the focal point and he rarely passes the ball back if he gets it.
You can tell from Puli’s style he likes combinations, give-and-go, but even he has stopped expecting that and now tries to dribble like everyone else on the team because he knows if he passes it he won’t get it back. We have a selfish attacking style right now.
One change is how Puli and Santi play together. They pass the ball to each other and pass it back. I think Puli and Santi enjoy playing together.

At times, ACM seem to actively ignore Puli. He makes great runs, busts his butt to get up and down the field, and they regularly ignore him. I am frankly amazed that he has as many goals as he does.
There could be some truth to this one. Just like there’s some truth to him supposedly being about to sign an extension. I think the extension rumor is being pushed by the club and this unhappiness rumor is being pushed by other clubs or it’s just clickbait.
All along, my assumption has been that he would wait until after the season, see how things look in Milan, and consider his options. It’s been rocky this season and he’s played pretty well. He realistically has 3 or 4 years of prime playing before his body probably starts to break down (though I bet he improves his finishing more and more and finds a way to play past 30). So he needs to see that Milan is going forward, instead of backward like this year. I actually think the most likely is that he doesn’t go anywhere, but he refuses to sign the extension as a way to put pressure on the team to prove they are moving forward.
If someone give‘s 60M for him let him Go, he never fitted in the team! He is absent socially.
I’m glad he’s saying he’s not happy. I hope these types of statements cause management to reflect. Without an ambitious project, you cannot hope to keep your best players.

Hot take… World cup year and no champions/Europa League might be good for Pulisic. We need him fit and healthy for the world cup. Now there is less chance he will get injured before the world cup.
