Pulisic staying positive after Dortmund draw: “We will keep going and trying”

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan winger Christian Pulisic has admitted he knew it wouldn’t be easy to face Borussia Dortmund in their home atmosphere, but that there were wasted chances.

Pulisic made his 50th appearance in the Champions League tonight, and it was a game he will feel this game a bit more than the others. The winger played 127 games for Dortmund, scoring 19 goals and providing 26 assists.

He was welcomed back to the Westfalenstadion, but he wanted to leave with three points and having added to his three goals for the Rossoneri, both of which didn’t happen. Nonetheless, it was another performance with positives and another clean sheet.

Pulisic spoke to Prime Video after the match to try and reflect on what was a game which both teams will feel they could have won, and a return to Dortmund for him personally. His comments were relayed by MilanNews.

What are your thoughts on the game?

“We knew it wouldn’t be easy here. We had chances, they had them too and it ended 0-0.”

Are you more worried or more confident about the group now?

“We will keep going and trying… we always think positively and we can do it.”

What did Pioli say?

“We will talk in the next few days. Now is not the time.”
