QS: Milan have decided they want Ibrahimovic to play into his 40s – renewal offer expected

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have decided that they will make Zlatan Ibrahimovic a renewal offer to try and keep him for another season, a report claims.

Ibrahimovic showed his decisiveness once again as Milan continued their perfect start to the Serie A season with a 2-1 win over Inter at San Siro on Saturday.

The Swede is 39 years of age and will be 40 early next season but he does not feel it at all, and in fact still feels that he can contribute a lot to this team.

According to Thursday’s edition of Quotidiano Sportivo, in the coming weeks the Rossoneri management could propose a new one-year deal to the centre-forward which would see him remain for the 2021-22 season.

Ibrahimovic would become the latest Rossoneri icon to wear the shirt into his 40s, following on from legends like Paolo Maldini and Alessandro Costacurta. The hope of course is that he will take Milan back to the Champions League and then lead them out in it.
