Raiola suggests Milan and Juventus centre-backs ‘could play together next year’

By Oliver Fisher -

Agent Mino Raiola has fuelled the speculation surrounding a potential exit for Alessio Romagnoli by suggesting he could join Juventus.

There are two factors which certainly suggest Romagnoli’s six-year spell with the Rossoneri could be set to come to an end. The first is his contract situation as his current deal runs out next June and there is nothing to suggest there has been any positive talks over an extension.

The second problem is that Romagnoli has lost his spot in Milan’s first choice starting XI, with the young Fikayo Tomori and the experienced Simon Kjaer seemingly now the preferred pairing of head coach Stefano Pioli.

Raiola was interviewed by Paolo Paganini for Calcio Total with the full broadcast to come on Monday at 11pm on Rai Sport, and a snippet was released in which the ‘super agent’ spoke about the future of De Ligt and Romagnoli.

“They are among the strongest defenders in Europe. De Ligt has a contract, while Romagnoli expires next year. I think they could play together next year at Juventus, but be careful because De Ligt could also leave Juve at the end of the season. The market works like this,” he said (via MilanNews).
