As it appears AC Milan are close to terminating the contract of Divock Origi, the Telelombardia director Fabio Ravezzani shared his thoughts on the striker with a post on X.
Origi has been at the club since the summer of 2022, when he signed a four-year deal, but his last performance with the club dates back to May 2023. In short, he has not exactly been a key player for Milan since his arrival.

Two days ago, Gazzetta dello Sport reported that Milan are finally getting closer to a contract termination, having held talks with Origi throughout the summer. January initially seemed as the perfect time to part ways but now, it seems it could happen earlier.
In light of the news, the Telelombardia director Fabio Ravezzani published his thoughts on X. He labelled Origi as one of the worst signings in Milan’s history, having cost the club a lot of money due to the hefty salary (€5.24m gross per year).
“I think Origi is one of the worst transfer market mistakes in Milan’s history. Costing €30m between salary and other costs, he scored 2 goals in 4 years. Fun fact: he was the thousandth player to wear the Rossoneri jersey. Unique record,” he tweeted.
He has shown that he has no regard for his own career and legacy… he wasted 3 almost 4 years of a football career, a career in fotball is something millions of kids can’t even dream of and he just threw parts of it away – what a disgrace he is.
Kids dream of becoming footballers because footballers make money. Origi got 15M for four years of doing nothing. He will retire rich at age 30, or play a couple more seasons in retirement leagues like Saudi or MLS. Dream come true it seems. 😉
I can’t blame Origi for signing a contract and letting it run out. After the first season where he was mostly injured they refused to give him another chance in the second (they probably should have taken better care of that investment). My problem with management is that is that he was clearly low on confidence. But this is what happens when you have a yes man as a coach, Giminez hasn’t exactly done much better but still has some faith from Allegri. I understand why Maldini brought him in
