The Mohamed Simakan saga has finally come to an end as the centre-back has officially joined RB Leipzig from Strasbourg.
Milan have been repeatedly linked with a move for Simakan since the last summer transfer window, with several sources claiming the Rossoneri made a concrete attempt to land him in January but then turned to Fikayo Tomori as the Frenchman sustained a knee injury that needed surgery.
Now, Simakan has officially signed for RB Leipzig, where he will begin his new chapter in Germany from July. Explaining his decision, he said: “I chose to join RB Leipzig because I think the club is best for my career. I want to integrate as quickly as possible and play my part in helping the club achieve its big goals.”
