CM.it: Rebic fighting for his Milan future as monitoring of Salzburg winger continues

By Oliver Fisher -

The future of Ante Rebic has once again been called into question as he struggles to find form even in friendly action, according to a report.

Calciomercato.it report how Rebic came in to the 2022-23 campaign off the back of a season to forget, with just three goals and two assists in 29 games and plenty of key matches missed due to frustrating physical issues.

These injury issues continued into the new season as he was forced to miss time following a brace against Udinese to begin the campaign, and it has not allowed him to reach optimal physical shape, but he does have three goals plus two assists.

Stefano Pioli knows he has a player who can make the difference on his but it’s been too long since he did so consistently. Rebic’s contract expires in 2025 but Milan are ready to evaluate the offers that will arrive even though it seems unlikely he will leave mid season.

While it will necessary to understand what the future of Rafael Leão looks like, Milan are already thinking about who to target for the left wing role and Noah Okafor of Red Bull Salzburg remains a name on the list.

  1. I think okafour would be an amazing transfer. I mean we have plenty of strikers to play, Giroud, Ibra, CDK when needed and Oka on right side man, we would dominate serie a. He is technicall like leao, he has a good eye for goal and can create space, beat his marker and so on. I thinkhe would be the only adition we would need thos winter.
