Rebic ‘very happy’ to continue his Milan story as he pledges to ‘do even better’

Ante Rebic has expressed his pleasure at sealing a permanent move to AC Milan and has vowed to try and ‘do even better’.

A statement on the club’s website confirmed that the Rossoneri have indeed converted Rebic’s two-year loan spell (of which he was entering his final year) into a permanent stay at San Siro.

Milan have also confirmed Sky Italia’s report in stating that the former Fiorentina forward will switch number too, choosing the number 12 shirt having worn 18 previously.

Meanwhile, Eintracht’s statement confirms that both clubs have agreed not to disclose the economic terms of the agreement, i.e. how much Milan paid for the 26-year-old.

Rebic spoke to Milan TV after his permanent move was confirmed, and his comments were transcribed by MilanNews.

“I am very happy to continue my story with Milan. I worked hard, the coach gave me confidence and I took advantage of the opportunities showing that I have the qualities to play for this team. Last year I scored 12 goals, I did well but I hope to do even better.”

Rebic scored 12 goals in 30 appearances during the 2019-20 campaign, one in which he finished as the team’s top scorer.
