Record: Florentino Luis and Sangare on Milan’s radar with midfield rebuild needed

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan must now find Sandro Tonali’s replacement and another report has suggested that Florentino Luis and Ibrahim Sangare are on the list.

Goal Italia reported yesterday that Milan have Florentino Luis of Benfica and Ibrahim Sangaré of PSV Eindhoven on the list of midfield targets who could come in and fill the void left by Tonali’s €75-80m move to Newcastle.

Now, Portuguese outlet Record are also claiming that Florentino and Sangaré are targets for the Rossoneri, who are looking to invest the money received from Tonali’s sale to improve the midfield overall.

The Benfica player has been watched by Milan for several years and has become a target once again after he asserted himself in the starting line-up at the age of 23, but his asking price is €40m.

As for Sangaré, the Ivorian midfielder is a player that Roger Schmidt actually tried to bring from PSV to Benfica last summer to play with Florentino, and he is another player Milan’s scouts admire a lot.

  1. Weren’t these two both linked frequently two years ago? Pretty sure acquiring this pair would use all the Tonali money in one go.

    1. and we will end up with nobody. wake me up when we finalize a purchase. Heck, not even Kamada is a done deal yet.
