Relevo: Milan admirers of Real Betis defender who could replace outgoing man

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are trying to find a replacement for Fode Ballo-Toure who is a more reliable back-up to Theo Hernandez, and they have cast their eyes towards Spain.

According to Spanish source Relevo, Samuel Chukwueze to Milan is 99.9% done for a figure of €20m plus €8m in bonuses. In the next few hours the paperwork and signing will be completed, while Chukwueze will sign a five-year contract.

However, the Rossoneri might not have finished shopping in LaLiga. Riccardo Calafiori is the main name chosen as the new back-up to Theo, currently at Basel and having come through Roma’s academy, but there are other options.

Another profile that is followed is that of Juan Miranda, currently at Real Betis. However, Miranda could renew his contract and wants to think about his future before committing either way.

The 23-year-old amassed 21 league appearances for Betis last season and managed five goal contributions, including two goals and three assists.

  1. We need homegrown/italian, not Spanish, so this is a non story, especially with Gabbia going out on loan, at this rate we will have nowhere near enough homegrown to register a decent team for the league or UCL, management need to sort this out ??
