One of the signings that will likely go under the radar this summer is Alejandro Jimenez, who is reportedly set to join AC Milan’s Primavera from Real Madrid.
According to Relevo, Milan are set to sign the 18-year-old right-back – who they have been following for a long time – on an initial loan deal which will include an option to buy that can be activated next summer.
The clubs are outlining the details and they are discussing possible options that would allow Los Blancos to perhaps have the chance to buy him back, given they don’t want to lose completely.
Jimenez renewed his contract back in May 2022 until 2025 and Real were confident that the past season would see him explode. He even trained with the senior side under Carlo Ancelotti’s watch and some senior players likened him to a plane because of his speed.
However, he has had some injuries that have kept him apart at key moments of the season, such as the promotion play-off where he was absent due to an ankle injury. He has also not always seen eye to eye with his head coaches Raúl and Arbeloa who have benched him for attitude issues.
Milan are happy to take him for a year and see if they can get him back into a groove, and the Relevo report adds that Antonio D’Ottavio – the new sporting director of the Rossoneri – was essential for this operation to come to fruition.
He is the one who trusts the teenager the most, seeing him as a good reinforcement for the Primavera – who have Bakoune at right-back – but with the idea of him training regularly with the first team.
This might make more sense then signing someone expensive. we could focus on other parts of the team. Calabria is fine as a starter, and this guy could be second choice.
So we’re grooming another potential real Madrid player just like diaz
Does this mean Singo is over?
try and understand d deal. It’s not making sense. Madrid will likely put buyback option in the deal just like Diaz. So we are now a grooming ground for Real Madrid. Rubbish. U av curios and others but u can’t promote them
