Watch: Replay suggests Milan could have had a penalty against Cremonese

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan had a very good shout for a penalty turned down during last night’s draw against Cremonese as Brahim Diaz took a tumble inside the box.

In an incident that was strikingly similar to the penalty Napoli got against Empoli just a couple of hours prior when Victor Osimhen went down, Brahim Diaz also felt contact from the defender and went over inside the box but the referee did not give it and VAR did not instruct him to take another look.

  1. Even Brahim was like nah that wasn’t a foul right afterwards.

I thought the foul on Messias was a pen. The defender pulled him back and did not even play the ball and then went over him. I was trying to figure out how that wasn’t a foul

  2. The thing is we didn’t complaint to the reff enough and pushed the officials to check the accident. Just like many other teams do, most notably last season’s Inter.

  3. Ironic that when leao decided to complain to the ref about getting pulled back by the shirt after the 3rd time it happened it was he who got a yellow card, we should not be expecting any favours from officials during the match. Penalty shout aside our team looked very tired, they were making sloppy passes all match and the build up play was very slow

  4. The referees and VAR officials are always against Milan. When it comes to penalties, the decisions are always against irrespective of who is the referee. Napoli were given a penalty straightaway for a similar incident involving Brahim Diaz. The ref was not even consulted to review VAR. These things are happening too often against Milan

  5. Serie A refs/var personal are so inconsistent I don’t even know what a handball is any more. It seems like they make it up game by game. It also seems plain as day there is a conspiracy against Milan. Give the history of this league I wouldn’t be surprised.
