Barcelona are ready to offer AC Milan the pick of two midfielders as counterparts in a deal for Alessio Romagnoli, according to a report.
There are still doubts over the future of the Rossoneri captain given that his deal expires in 2022, and the fact that the club wish to avoid a situation like the one they are currently experiencing with Gianluigi Donnarumma.
There have been suggestions in the media of a stand-off between Milan and Mino Raiola regarding Romagnoli’s €3.5m-a-year salary, with the agent wanting a pay rise that the club’s hierarchy are apprehensive to offer.
According to Catalan outlet Sport – as cited by Calciomercato.com – Barcelona are among the clubs interested in making an offer to try and land Romagnoli.
Atletico Madrid have also been linked with a move for the former Roma man, but the Blaugrana are willing to offer either Ivan Rakitic or Rafinha as a counterpart to try and facilitate the operation.
Marca recently claimed that Barca have set Rakitic’s valuation at €20m, with Fichajes stating Rafinha will cost €15m.
