Report: Borini one step away from Milan exit as Genoa close in on deal

By Oliver Fisher -

Genoa have reached an agreement with AC Milan for the signing of forward Fabio Borini in January, according to a report.

After two-and-a-half years with the Rossoneri, it appears that Borini will be moving on to pastures new next month. Borini has not featured since the second game of the season and has racked up just 70 minutes of league action so far, with Pioli seemingly not keen on using him.

The 28-year-old’s representative Roberto De Fanti recently spoke to Radio Rossonera about the future of his client, seemingly confirming that a new destination is on the cards for the former Rom and Liverpool man.

According to Il Secolo XIX – as cited by Calciomercato.com –  the 28-year-old has been identified as a target for Genoa as they look to strengthen in the upcoming mercato having found themselves in the midst of a relegation battle.

Borini, whose contract expires with Milan at the end of the season, would arrive at Genoa for a bargain price.
