Chelsea have joined AC Milan in the race to sign Luka Jovic from Real Madrid in the upcoming summer window, a report claims.
The Rossoneri are in the market for a new centre-forward as Zlatan Ibrahimovic is set to leave the club at the end of the season.
Calciomercato.com reported on Sunday that the Milan management have initiated discussions with Fali Ramadani – the agent of Luka Jovic – to get an update on his current situation, with Arsenal and Leicester also keen.
Mundo Deportivo are now reporting that Chelsea are ‘closely’ following Jovic, who joined Los Blancos from Eintracht Frankfurt for a fee of €60m last summer but has struggled in his first season.
The 22-year-old has managed just two goals in 25 appearances for Real Madrid, and it has been reported by multiple outlets that he could leave the Bernabeu already in favour of a fresh start.
Napoli, Juventus, Inter and Milan are also credited with interest in the forward.
